It’s not exactly 70 and sunny today, but it is still the weekend, so take advantage of it! From making moves outside to a little black humor, there is plenty on the Black Oak Night’s agenda. Here is your Saturday Nightlife Rundown for Saturday, April 17, 2010.

Dream Away – 10pm
D’Or
(204 West 55th Street): It goes down every Saturday at D’Or (located underneath the Dream Hotel), where the music is always bumping and the people are always stuntin’. Help the stuntin continue by showing up in your best Saturday night wear. Ladies are free until midnight, while the guys are reduced all night long. I can promise you that the fee is worth it, fellas. DJ Abrupt always holds it down, and young, black professionals are in abundance.

Kyle Grooms, Stand-up! – 9pm & 11pm
Gotham Comedy Club
(208 West 23rd Street): If you haven’t heard this young brotha doing his thing, you need to buy tickets to Gotham Comedy right now! For a long time now, Kyle has been one of the hottest comics on the New York scene, and he has people laughing every time he shows up in the building. Using his humorous upbringing in his act, Kyle brings a realness to the stage that rolling only seconds into his act. You have two chances to catch him at the Gotham Comedy club, and you can buy tickets here.

Chill Factor – 10pm
Webster Hall
(125 East 11th Street): Naturally, if you live in New York City, you have been to Webster Hall at least once or twice. But I’m telling you, it’s time to give it another shot. The club is looking better, the people are looking better, and even the prices are looking better. If you’re on the AC Pass Guest List (rsvp@acpass.com), you can get inside the club without a cover until midnight. As for when you get inside the club, you won’t know what to do with yourself. From Top 40 music playing in the main floor to straight urban sounds in the cellar, Webster Hall won’t just be spinning records, but it will leave your head spinning too!

Twirl Saturdays – 10pm
Taj
(48 West 21st Street): As if Taj doesn’t already have enough reasons to get you out of the house, tonight there will be an open bar from 10pm to 11pm for the ladies. After that, everyone can get 2-for-1 drinks until midnight. Best of all, there is no cover before midnight, so if you get there before 11pm, you’re drinking completely on the house. The young, black professional crowd will certainly be in attendance, and the DJ will be in our favor as well, serving up straight hip-hop, R&B and old school music for the duration of the night. With all of that, where else would you spend your Saturday night?

Star Saturdays – 11pm
Star Lounge
(222 West 23rd Street): Let the people at the door of the Star Lounge know that you are on the Cinnamon guest list, and you will get into this happening club for no cover at all. Of course, no cover doesn’t mean you don’t have to pay a price, and tonight’s price of admission at Star Lounge is the same price it has always been—high quality fashion. With the usual chic set of ladies and gentlemen coming out tonight, you don’t want to be in your raggedy pair of jeans trying to get in the door tonight. However, you might want to include your dancing shoes in your outfit, as bachata and other Latin music will be spinning on occasion, so have your salsa game ready.

Fashion for Haiti – 7:30pm
Sheraton Hotel
(811 Seventh Avenue): Reverend Al Sharpton and his crew (The National Action Network) are in town, having a big forum on the advancement of black people in America up in Harlem. You can watch the forum on TVOne or go to 116th Broadway and see it for yourself, but if you want to go to the charity fashion show, you will have to head down to the Sheraton to get involved. As you can imagine, a who’s who of black people will be in attendance tonight, so don’t be the only one not in the building. There are no clear plans for an after party as of yet, so stay tuned to our Twitter account for updates later on in the day.

High Times – 10pm
Highbar
(251 West 48th Street): In midtown, one of the premiere places to be is High Bar, where plenty of young, New York City socialites will be in the building living it up like they always do. This diverse crowd knows how to party and they do it on a regular basis. So come with your “A” game if you plan to be a part of the fun.

The Gates – 10pm
The Gates
(290 Eighth Avenue): The Gates is yet another, very fashionable, diverse crowd. The digs at The Gates compliment the crowd well, with a 21st century décor befitting of a 21st century millennial. Even if you come here for no other reason than to check the place out, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
