Here’s to a little bit of a let down from this heat wave that we have been experiencing over the past couple of weeks. Monday is supposed to be a lot more eventful and a little less hot. That of course means you can consume a little more alcohol outdoors than you could have when it was 100 degrees in this concrete jungle. As for how to put your outdoor drinking to use indoors, here is the Monday Nightlife Rundown for July 26, 2010.

Restaurant of the Day
Malatesta Trattoria (649 Washington Street): I ate here over the weekend, and I must say, if you are looking for the complete dining experience, you need go no farther than Malatesta Trattoria. Then again, you can’t go much farther than this place anyway since it’s only a block away from Hudson River, but trust me, even if you could, you can’t have a better Italian experience elsewhere without catching a charter to Rome. The food here was great, especially the Polpette meatballs and the Pesce Del Giorno, which happen to be Salmon the day I was there. As for the service and the atmosphere, it can’t be beat. The waiters were friendly and seemed to be pulled fresh out of Italy. I went there at night, so every table was candlelit, so as I sat outside on the bustling, but not too bustling Washington Street, I felt as comfortable and relaxed as I ever have eating al fresco in New York City. So if you’re in search of the perfect dining experience with a little Italian flare, Malatesta is the place to be!

Artists Fanfare – 11pm
China Club (268 West 47th Street): The China Club continues to get older but never seems to get old, you know what I’m saying? That is unless of course this is one of your regular hot spots. The China Club has become so ordained in New York City society that it’s far from the super-exclusive club that is used to be some 20, 25 years ago. Now it’s a place where anybody and everybody hits it up at some point during their New York City existence. Let that anybody be you this Monday night, as China Club is turning up the Monday Nightlife scene by putting DJ Camillo on the 1’s and 2’s as they rock well into Tuesday morning. As always, there’s a cover charge to get into this ever-so-special nightclub, but once you’re in, I guarantee you won’t think about the money. With so many models, artists, actors, actresses and singers slated to be in the building this Monday night, you will be too beauty-struck to think about how much money you had to drop at the door.

Leave it on Shelf Mondays – 5:30pm
Negril Village (70 West 3rd Street): The best thing about Monday is when the day comes to an end. So as soon as you get off work, make your way over to Negril Village to celebrate the end of the beginning of the week! If you’re as confused by that last sentence as I am, then just hurry over to Negril Village, where admission is free until midnight. That’s right! I mentioned midnight on a Monday! Why concern yourself with a trivial thing like sleep when your fellow New Yorkers will be up in the club at the afterwork party that never ends! With DJ Sphere controlling the turntables, hip-hop music will crank all night so you can work the chinks out of your neck from working all day. Negril Village’s $5 cocktails will also help ease you into Monday night, and the $5 Caribbean appetizers will eventually help you ease into bed. As for Tuesday morning, don’t worry about it—there will always be another one.

New Money Mondays – 10pm
Suzie Wong’s (547 West 27th Street): Does the party ever stop at Suzie Wong’s? Not this Monday, when “Jinglin Baby” brings the craziest party of the day to Suzie Wong’s, where admission is free and fun is at a premium. Come get your groove on as nothing but hip-hop and R&B music blast through the speakers, meaning no excuses for all of you brothas and sistas that like to stand alongside the wall during the party. Young, black professionals are always in the building at Suzie Wong’s, making this a great place to come out and show off that summer body you’ve been waiting to flaunt all season long. The dress code is strict though, but of course, grown and sexy is always permissible. For those of you not interested in having fun, drinking it up, and living the good life this Monday night, we’ll see you Tuesday morning, half-asleep and hung-over…but ever-so-satisfied.

Whoopi Goldberg’s “Ride of Fame” Launch – Noon
On the Corner (320 West 66th Street): For those of you who grew up watching Whoopi Goldberg movies almost religiously in the early 90’s, you might be interested in the fact that your girl is blowing up even more. On top of her talk show, her Broadway musical and her goo-gabs of cash, Ms. Goldberg is now on deck to receive her own double-decker! That’s right, Gray Line New York is dedicating a double-decker bus to Goldberg and dubbing the tour that bus takes around New York City the “Whoopi Goldberg Ride of Fame.” So come through, hop a ride, and see your favorite performer cutting the ribbon for what has to be a New York City first—an actual bus ceremony.

Ah, it’s back to a full workweek this Monday, as we are set to enter the middle of July. Typically, this time of the year is often dubbed the “dog days of summer.” You know, that’s when things get a little dull and complacent given the weather and the fact that everything good about everyday life seems to happen in the fall and winter. But don’t you dare fall into that category! Let Black Oak Nights lead you out of the “dog days of summer” and into the summer of YOU! Here is your Monday Nightlife Rundown for July 12, 2010.

Cocktails on the Terrace – 7pm
Hudson Terrace (621 West 46th Street): Who says drinking and heights don’t go hand and hand? Well, don’t tell that to the people running Hudson Terrace, because they seem to like giving young professionals glasses of alcohol outside and on roofs. All kidding aside, it’s not as if you’re in any danger (unless of course a sudden tornado comes out of nowhere), so when you get to Hudson Terrace, drink without fear.

Bowling Galore – 9pm
Bowlmor Lanes (110 University Place): The best thing about bowling is that you literally only have to lift a finger in order to play. Other than that, you get to drink, chat and even dance between turns as other more serious bowlers contemplate weather to bend it left or right to pick up the spare. Fortunately, for the less-inspired bowler, there’s a price for you. For just $24, you can do all the bowling you want to at New York City’s most enticing bowling alley. Bowlmor Lanes gives you the shoes, music and the drink specials, so that you can take care of the rest by chilling, talking and playing around with your friends. Not every night has to be about partying and sex. Sometimes, we all could use a night full of laughter, fun and entertainment—just don’t let the bowling get in the way of all that!

Speakeasy Mondays – 5pm
Honey (243 West 14th Street): Who says you can’t find good talent in the club these days? At Honey Bar & Lounge, they are showcasing all kinds of talented people with their weekly “Speakeasy Monday.” Artists will take the stage, dancing, singing, performing poetry and whatever else these lively people find entertaining. Of course, getting in on the street level talent is going to cost you, so there is a $10 cover charge, but a drink ticket does come with that—so for you AA members out there, just call it a wash. So if you need one night away from the club and are interested in seeing some talented, young minorities take the stage, I don’t see why you would be anywhere else but Honey this Monday night.

HBO Summer Film Festival – 8pm
Bryant Park (40th Street & Sixth Avenue): My people at the Rooftop Film Festival aren’t the only ones having a summer film series. In fact, every New Yorker already knows that HBO has dominated the park for the last several years with its overwhelming turnout each and every Monday. This Monday night, the film series will showcase “My Man Godfrey.” As usual, it’s an older movie that most young, black professionals haven’t seen. But seeing as how it’s outdoors, at night, and right next to a few select restaurants, I don’t see why anyone wouldn’t be willing to give this film, and this event, at least one chance.

New Money Mondays – 10pm
Suzie Wong (547 West 27th Street): As for my diehards who “get it in” each and every night, I didn’t forget about you either! For the partier that sees nothing wrong with taking it to the max on a Monday night, Suzie Wong’s is all the way live this Monday night, and will probably be the most jumping nightclub in all of New York City. Hundreds of young, black professionals will being the building, celebrating life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness in a fashion that only a New York resident can understand. DJ Bobby Trends from Hot 97 will work the 1’s and 2’s, which means this is officially a hip-hop nightclub for the night. So get out those dancing shoes, work on those moves and carry your behind over to Suzie Wong’s and do the Stella—you know, getting your groove on.

Midtown International Theatre Festival Launch Party – 7:30pm
Sweet Caroline’s (322 West 45th Street): Let the madness begin as the Midtown International Theatre Festival launches tonight and launches with a bang! This party will feature several of the upcoming shows and musicals that will be on display throughout the festival over the next several days. You can also listen a live jazz band, Ham & Eggs, perform all night long—that is of course when they aren’t previewing the new shows. The cost of admission includes food and a full open bar. So check out the website, get a ticket, and come through for a preview of Broadway. http://www.midtownfestival.org/

New Money Mondays – 10pm
Suzie Wong’s: To get your fill of the late nightlife on a Monday, come through to Suzie Wong’s, where the party don’t stop till 6 in the morn! DJ Bobby Trends will work the 1’s and 2’s, making this the hip-hop party of the night. There is no cover charge, so feel free to come through as late and as fashionable as you want too. Of course, the fashionable part isn’t as optional, because the doormen will be strict and have no problem sending your butt out of line. So come dressed correct, come ready to dance, and it will be a good time for all at Suzie Wong’s tonight.

Action! Design Over Time – Through 5:30
Museum of Modern Art (11 West 53rd Street): Temporal side of contemporary design takes center stage. Some of the pieces in this exhibition freeze time to create a unique perspective (such as a broken-dish chandelier by designer Ingo Maurer), while others use an analysis of the passage of time as their central theme (including computer renderings of taxi traffic patterns in San Francisco). Whatever your temporal perspective, there’s no denying that this exhibition itself is time well spent.

Restaurant of the Day
5 Napkin Burger (630 9th Avenue): Young, black professionals of New York City, you can thank me later! 5 Napkin Burger is the place to have your fill of the delectable treat that is the hamburger. Few places in the world do fried beef better than 5 Napkin Burger, and as you can see from the picture above, they know how to do a burger right. On top of that, they have two beautiful restaurants here in New York City, with a décor and atmosphere that is to die for. The recent opening of their spot on the Upper West Side will have you in stitches the minute you enter. Going back to the food, this place is more than just burgers. It will seem like quite the reach, but 5 Napkin Burger just might be one of the best sushi places in New York City too. Imagine the sensation of a juicy burger paired with the succulent flavors of a nice yellowtail roll. Is there a better culinary experience out there?

On the Shelf Mondays – 6pm
Negril Village (70 West 3rd Street): Negril Village is more than just the place to be on Tuesday evenings, but Mondays are “almost” just as live, too! Tonight, DJ Sphere will have evening partying on lock, as he sets it off with hip-hop, R&B and reggae music all night long. Of course, it’s Monday, so it will probably take more than good music to get you off your feet. So how about$5 cocktails that can get you in the right mood, so that you can take the dance floor in the same manner you did last Saturday night? If that’s not enough, Negril Village’s succulent menu of Caribbean treats will take your mind to a better place—or at least have your stomach feeling so good that you will have to go to another place.

The beginning of the week has arrived, and I know you are probably a little bit down as a result of that. However, everything has a silver lining, including the start of the workweek. Just think about it like this; if it weren’t for this low you feel on Mondays, Fridays wouldn’t provide the feeling of euphoria that they do. To help you get over Monday, feel closer to Friday, or at least drink your worries away, here are a few things for you to do on the first day of the week. Here is the Monday Nightlife Rundown for June 21, 2010.

New Money Mondays -10pm
Suzie Wong (547 West 27th Street): Get excited! It’s going down tonight at Suzie Wong, where young, black professionals are going to party like rap stars and pretend like they don’t have to go to work tomorrow. With an array of Hip-hop and R&B mash-ups, DJ Bobby Trends will have you up and on the dance floor in a mood that you haven’t been in since—well, since this past weekend. Dress up though, because the showstoppers will be out and about. Let them know Black Oak Nights sent you.

Restaurant of the Day
Chelsea Brewing Company Restaurant (Chelsea Piers, Pier 59): Okay, so this isn’t exactly the fine dining of restaurants, but it is a beer lover’s kind of eatery. The Chelsea Brewing Company is a huge, waterfront establishment, serving up some of the best brews you will ever drink in New York City. This microbrewery is over 12,000 square feet, produces more than two-dozen types of beers every year, and serves them up at prices as low at $6. The food is decent, with all kinds of seafood and traditional American cuisine. The BBBQ Drumettes with buttermilk ranch dipping sauce will set black people and their cholesterol levels back 40 years, but they’re so good that they just might be worth it. I haven’t even gotten to the view yet. From the restaurant you can see the beauty that is the pier at Chelsea—Hudson River never looked so good!

Latino Speed Dating – 7pm
Hudson Eatery (601 West 57th Street): For all of our Latino readers, and the African Americans who love them, I wanted to present you with the opportunity to meet your future mate at this speed dating event Monday evening. You will get to meet plenty of sexy, young Latinos, doing their thing and trying to meet Mr. or Mrs. Right. You can be that person if you come with your “A” game, your best outfit, and one heck of a flare for salsa dancing. Should be fun. Even if you don’t meet your soul mate, some of the proceeds go to a worthy cause, so at the very least, you will be helping someone else just by showing up—and paying the price of admission of course!

LGBT Community Center Garden Party
Pier 54 (West 14th Street & the Hudson River): Come through to the 27th annual edition of the LGBT Community Center Garden Party, which helps keep the doors of this esteemed organization open. This is the only LGBT tasting festival in the United States, making it a one-of-a-kind event that just can’t be duplicated. You can tastes all types of delicious, culinary treats with some of the best foods from across the world. And to think, for just the price of a ticket that gives you a taste of culinary artistry, you can help be an advocate for the LGBT community and all of their worthwhile causes.

Bryant Park Summer Film Festival – 5pm
Bryant Park (40th Street and Sixth Avenue): There is no way that I can tell you how early you have to get to Bryant Park in order to get a spot on the lawn. I just know that trying to show up anywhere remotely close to 5pm will have you standing up somewhere on the side, either praying for a seat or rubbing the crap out that crick out of your neck. This Monday’s film is the classic “Goldfinger.” No, I’m not talking about Austin Powers; I’m talking about the original James Bond flick starring Sean Connery. If you thought you’ve seen James Bond before, you haven’t seen anything yet.

Ice Cream Sandwiches
Jacques Torres (350 Hudson Street): It’s getting hot out there, why not have an ice cream sandwich? After all, what’s better than a slab of ice cream between two chocolaty, morosely cookies? Nothing! For the best ice cream sandwich in New York City, go to Jacques Torres. They have some of the biggest ice cream treats in Manhattan, and their “Cookies with Cream” sandwich. After you try it, ice cream sandwiches will never be the same.

Summer nightlife is here, which means you better already be in shape, because three months of drinking, booze and food will certainly have its toll on your body. Nevertheless, vendors, rooftop happy hours and our “Restaurant of the Day” dominate today’s agenda. So here is your Monday Nightlife Rundown for June 7, 2010.

Restaurant of the Day
Good (89 Greenwich Avenue): Yes, the name of the place is “Good.” I was considering going with one my favorites, Porchetta, but I understand that there are a lot of you out there who fear the swine. Thus, I went with Good, a restaurant with gourmet, American cuisine that will absolutely melt in your mouth. From Veal-Ricotta Meatballs to the crispy oysters, you will fall in love with the food so much that you probably won’t leave the place with your wallet. And if you thought the macaroni and cheese at Tillman’s was good, wait until you try Good’s “Green Chile Macaroni”—I don’t even know where to begin!

Magic Mondays – 10pm
Katra Lounge (217 Bowery): Get your week started with the Monday party of the night. Katra is blowing away convention with an all-out Monday night party that will be flooded with young, black professionals. DJ Self will be control of the music, which means hip-hop and R&B will dominate the musical selection throughout the evening. Enjoy happy hour prices and bottle specials all night, as Katra celebrates the summer with a little price accommodation.

Night Strike
Bowlmor Lanes (110 University Place): Make your way to Bowlmor lanes where you can bowl till you drop from one flat rate all night long. Of course, if bowling isn’t your scene, Bowlmor Lanes is the next closest thing to a nightclub. So you can enjoy a happy hour drink, holla at the opposite sex and mix-and-mingle all without ever picking up a 15-pound ball.

Party on the Island – 8pm
Yelp Country Club (Randall’s Island): Obsessive users of Yelp (and I’ve seen you up there!) need to hit up Randall’s Island this evening. Yelp is paying homage to you, the customer, by inviting you out to their version of a country Club on Randall’s Island. The weather is great, they will have food and drink from New York City vendors and you can even play golf.

Since you probably need to recover before returning to wherever your money-making ventures may take you come Tuesday morning, why not get in some clean, harmless fun before this three-day weekend comes to a sudden end? Here is your Monday Rundown for May 31, 2010.

Catch Some Waves
Coopers Beach (268 Meadow Lane, Southampton): If you think that you need to go to Florida or California to enjoy one of the nation’s top beaches, think again! Dr. Beach has ranked the country’s best beaches for the 20th straight time, and this year’s winner is Long Island’s own Coopers Beach, located in tiny village of Southampton. Sure, when you think of the Hamptons, you think of private beaches, snobby residents and old people, but Coopers Beach is none of that. While you can see the mansions in the background, this is a public beach, where visitors are welcome and a black card isn’t necessary—unless of course you need to pay for parking, which is outrageously overpriced.

Memorial Day Brunch – 10am to 4pm
Life Café (343 East 10th Street): Enjoy Memorial Day morning with a brunch at one of the few places serving it. Life Café in the East Village will be open for business and serving brunch for all of you late bloomers. Located near Tompkins Square, this is a great place to eat al fresco style as you enjoy your day off from work and avoid any potential noise from the parade. The Bloody Marys, Screwdrivers and Mimosas are pretty cheap, and the Slammin’ Egg Burrito is the stuff brunch was made for. So check it out if you’re doing brunch this Monday, as this is notably one of New York’s best brunch spots in the East Village.

Crab Bash – 3pm to 11pm
Fatty Crab (2170 Broadway): Alright, not to fit any of you into any kind of stereotype, but let’s just say that a race I belong to doesn’t exactly dislike swine. Ironically, Fatty Crab is having a Memorial Day Pig Roast, and you can get unlimited everything for just $29. That sticker price gets you all the beer, raw bar food and roasted pig you can handle. This makes for a nice alternative if you can’t get to a Memorial Day barbeque of your own.

Get Cultured
The Met (1000 Fifth Avenue): As part of Mayor Bloomberg’s initiative to appease the upper class elite and the unions that irk them, the Metropolitan Museum of Art will be open on Memorial Day, just in case you wonder out of Central Park in a drunken stupor. In all seriousness, this is a good chance to go to the Met on a day off when it should be neither too full or too much of a hassle. Besides, you know you want to seek the King Tut Funeral exhibit, which has spurred all kinds of reaction since its debut back in March.

Eat, Drink & Be Merry – Noon to Midnight
Habana Outpost (757 Fulton Street): During the summer, there is not a young, black professional in all of New York City that does not make his or her way to Brooklyn and Fort Greene, where some of the summers best black, outdoor gatherings take place. Habana Outpost gatherings remind me of all those stories of what Brooklyn and Harlem used to be, only reincarnated for the 21st Century. Habana Outpost has everything you need, from food, to drinks, to sexy, professional black people in the mood for dining and wining. I can’t think of a better day to make it out to the Outpost than Memorial Day, that way you will get a taste of what this establishment has in store for the summer.

The weekend was great, but here’s to an ever better week. Comedy performances, foodie documentaries, after work parties and Upper West Side wine wars dominate today’s Black Oak Nights Rundown. However, I suggest that young, black professionals and buppies alike take advantage of the semi-descent weather we are having and get outside to enjoy the sun. But once you’re done, and when the sun goes down, it’s time to do it up Black Oak Nights style. Here is the Monday Nightlife Rundown for May 24, 2010.

Thank God It’s Monday – 6:30pm
Katra Lounge (217 Bowery Street): Katra Lounge will be the epicenter of black partying this evening. Young, black professionals can dance, party, drink, grab a hookah and even perform karaoke tonight, because everything goes at Katra this Monday. Everybody is free until 8pm, when the “reduced” price will kick in. Drink specials last from 6pm-8pm, when you can get 2-for-1 cocktails, $5 beers and $6 glasses of win. For the big ballers out there, bottles of Grey Goose are $125 a pop, but that too only last form 6-8. The karaoke starts at 8pm and should be rather entertaining. I personally have never been in a building full of black people doing karaoke, so if you’re like me, this could be a live music experience of unique proportions for many of you.

Comedian Teddy Smith – 8:30pm
Gotham Comedy Club (208 West 23rd Street): Several comedians will take the stage at the famed Gotham Comedy Club tonight, but the headliner in my opinion is Teddy Smith, who you have probably seen tearing up the internet air waves. If you haven’t seen him, tonight is as good as any other night to check him out. But if you don’t feel like leaving your house or succumbing to the two-drink minimum, then you can check out Teddy Smith online with one of his better internet clips: Teddy Smith.

Monday Night Soul Sessions – 11pm
Rose Live Music (245 Grand Street, Williamsburg, Brooklyn): I have something for the Brooklynites out there. Chauncey Yearwood and the Pimps of Joytime Band is putting on a show tonight and you need to be there! Plenty of young, urban hippies flock to Rose Live Music every Monday night just to listen to this soul, funk-fueled band tear up the stage and put on a live show like few others in New York City are capable of doing. Chauncey Yearwood leads from his position on the drums and is known for being the best local percussionist in the city. So if you like those funky, soul-infused beats, this is not a show to be missed.

Hungry Filmmakers – 7pm
Anthology Film Archives (32 Second Avenue): If you like food as much as I do, then you do have at least some interest in watching “food programs” on TV. Well, tonight you can skip Iron Chef and watch your favorite foods be prepared on the silver screen instead of the TV screen. Tonight at the Anthology of Film Archives, the Hungry Filmmakers event will show six screenings of foodie documentaries followed by Q&A with the directors and filmmakers. These short documentaries include Lunch Line and The Vanishing Bees (narrated by Ellen Page). The screenings will last from 7 to 10pm, and the ticket is $15.

Upper West Side Wine Wars
Columbia Cottage (1034 Amsterdam Avenue): Not surprisingly, we had a lot of reaction to the Chinese food and free wine offers on the Upper West Side. So now I’m giving you just one of the many restaurants with such offers, with this one being one of the favorites of my alma mater. Columbia Cottage will give you a free carafe of not-so-tasty white wine with every entrée purchase. So come with a group of 6, and your party will get a couple gallons worth of wine. Unfortunately, the wine will taste like it came out of a plastic container. Don’t fret though, it does go semi-well with the Chinese food, and the more you drink, the better it taste.

Take the Mic – 8:30pm
Dixon Place (161A Chrystie Street): If you’re interested in the spoken word of any kind then Dixon Place is where you want to be. I can’t tell you what kind of crowd will show up, take the mic or even walk by this building, but I can tell you that it will be a fun night. The host Marti Gould Cummings has assured people of this, and I don’t him given that live, uncensored acts of singing, reading and performing tend to be very entertaining, no matter who’s doing it.

Night Strike – 9pm
Bowlmor Lanes (110 University Place): Unlimited bowling is a thing of regularity at Bowlmor Lanes—at least on Mondays. So why not take advantage of it while you can, and use some of that extra money you would spend on games to buy drinks at the bar! After all, night time bowling at Bowlmor Lanes is liking being at the bar or club, and it could be ever better. There aren’t many places in the world where you can strike out with the opposite sex one minute and then throw a strike the next minute. Drink and food specials galore will be available, but the ability to bowl is strictly B.Y.O.B.

Here’s to enjoying weather, eating well and hoping that this week is only the beginning of New York City’s summer months. Here is your Monday Nightlife Rundown for May 17, 2010.

Here’s to enjoying weather, eating well and hoping that this week is only the beginning of New York City’s summer months. Here is your Monday Nightlife Rundown for May 17, 2010.

Wings & Liquor
1849 (183 Bleecker Street): If you are looking for a place to unwind, chill, drink and eat, you really cannot beat Monday nights at 1849. On Mondays you can get wings for just 20-cents a piece, and just about every drink in the join is a mere $3. Not to mention, they have plenty of other tasty food options on their eclectic menu, and as someone who has been there multiple times, I can vouch for it all.

Half of Yoga
ISHTA Yoga (56 East 11th Street): Living in New York City as a working, young, black professional can be one of the most stressful experiences in the world. Sure, we have all of Western society’s advances in technology at our disposal, but they all come at a cost—especially in New York City. From overpriced studio apartments to hour long treks just to get to the other side of the town, it’s the minor things in life that can make living in New York City the exact opposite of being in a “stress-free” zone. Well, Yoga can help ease some of the tension, which is why I recommend any and everyone give it a try. If you don’t have a gym membership complete with Yoga classes, try out the famous ISHTA Yoga classes, which you can attend for half price.

Enjoy the Weather
Riverside Park (Riverside Drive between 59th & 156th Streets): You know, there are other places to lay out in the grass besides Central Park. One such place includes a locale near my alma mater, where Riverside Park is one of the best and most underutilized parks in all of New York City. Of course, in-the-know Upper West Siders are well aware of Riverside Park’s advantages, including the oft-available ball fields, the skating park and Community Garden. Not to mention, after a day at Riverside Park, you have your choice of the Upper West Side’s array of trendy restaurants that line both sides of the street on Broadway.

Afterwork Party – 6pm
Negril Village (70 West 3rd Street): Join in on the Caribbean fervor at Negril Village tonight, when a slew of young, black professionals will pour into this classic afterwork hideaway for an evening of raw dancing, socializing and fun. The drinks specials will help cool you down as you break a sweat dancing to the reggae and hip-hop tunes of DJ Sphere. And as for the food—well, it can’t be beat and any notion of getting Caribbean food from any other place is just blasphemy man!

Green Mondays – 10pm
Greenhouse (150 Varick Street): One of the best and most environmentally friendly places to be in Manhattan tonight is at Greenhouse, where a diverse group of individuals will convene for late night drinks, partying and fruitful intrigue. Every genre of music under the sun will spawn from DJ Brooklyn Dawn’s turntable, leaving you the option to dance to the music you love and take a breather to the music you don’t. Should be a good time, but come dressed to impressed; otherwise, you will feel green after they don’t let you in the door.
