Here’s to a little bit of a let down from this heat wave that we have been experiencing over the past couple of weeks. Monday is supposed to be a lot more eventful and a little less hot. It’s Hump Day—Black Oak Nights favorite day of the week! On what other day of the week can you actually celebrate having made it “thus far?” Monday is the beginning of your drudgery. Friday is the end of it. And even Thursday marks the unofficial start to the Black Oak Nights weekend. It is Hump Day in New York City, and all of my fellow young, black professionals are looking for a reason to celebrate tonight as if it were actually the middle of the workweek. The fact is, most of you probably had Monday off, and thus you shouldn’t be all that worked up today—but fake it anyway. Here is your Wednesday Nightlife Rundown for July 7, 2010.
It’s Tuesday, and hopefully you had a long, relaxing weekend. If you didn’t, there’s no time like the present to make up for lost time and chill and relax at one of the afterwork spots below. We didn’t go with any nightclub ventures this Tuesday, mostly because there aren’t that many late night parties for young, black professionals on this particular day. However, our reluctance to list nighttime outings for tonight also comes from the fact that most of you really “got it in” this weekend, and so we know you’re looking for something a little more laid back this evening.
